Best Places to Visit in Cuernavaca

It is the capital and largest city of the state of Morelos established by the mother culture of Mesoamerica. Cuernavaca is derived from the Nahuatl phrase Cuauhnāhuac that means surrounded by or close to trees.

Designated as the archaeological site of Gualupita that is located south of Mexico City. The vegetation and the quality of life of residents are excellent. It is a famous tourist place for Mexico City and foreign visitors because of this stable climate and abundant vegetation.

Traditionally it is a center of Mexican society with many wealthy citizens owning mansions in this cultural haven.

The art gallery is pleasant to look at. It takes about a half of an hour to complete the tour. It is set in a beautiful old building with a well appointed gallery space hosting contemporary artists. Nice building from the outside. There is a separate restaurant upstairs.

It is located near plenty of bars and restaurants. The Staff are friendly. They spent time telling visitors about the art and artist in both English and Spanish.

The site itself is a source of information that is free to visit. As an art, the historical value of the collection will amaze you. There are total 

3 rooms of photos from the earlier days of the City. This is an idea of locales to contrast with the past. Marvel at how Cuernavaca was before it became the awful urban eyesore it is today.

It is a beautiful church in the heart of Cuernavaca´s downtown but quite crowded all the time. This is not a chapel. Make sure you leave your party at the doorstep so you can find a decent parking spot nearby. It’s not a big church and really nice inside.

Groups take floral wreaths to deposit in her honor, which is a special landmark in Cuernavaca. Traditional dancers, food stands, and fireworks will amaze you.

The building was originally built to house one of the best art collections. It was for the protection of the mural paintings of the former La Selva casino that occupied this property before its purchase by a powerful business group.

Take the opportunity to visit the mural paintings and learn about the history of this very emblematic place in the city. Guides who know about the subject can teach you about history.

People visit pyramids, the cathedral, Cortes Palace and Borda Garden. Take a brief nature walk in the center of the city. Many locals know about this. It’s entrance is at the small park beside the late 19th-century Porfirio Diaz bridge.

You can breathe fresh air and listen to the rushing water below here. This requires some walking through this canyon. There is a small theater area

It is a very nice square with good brands and with good offers. Some Walmart and Chedraui are excellent here. An excellent place to buy clothes and shoes and with a variety of restaurants to enjoy lunch or dinner.

The shopping center has spacious outdoors, very good parking and has good shops and restaurants, cinemas and areas for children such as the fair or jumping. They run outlet-style stores with good prices so it’s worth shopping around.

The place is clean and very beautiful. The walk down to the first viewing area is immaculate. Nice view of the waterfall, the ravine, and the houses that astonishingly perch atop the ravine.

There are several steps to get the best views of the waterfall, but it’s worth it. There are plants for sale and places to eat and drink. The river bank is near the falls. Many of the residents make and sell arts and crafts.
